Golden Sands Resort Batu Feringgi Penang Saturday 3rd September, 2016

Last two days have been fairly hectic so thought that we would just go along the coast a bit further to a little fishing village. As far as the road can go along this part of the coast.

On the way we stopped  at a large butterfly park that we had read about. The first thing we saw was this sleepy snake.

These two photos show how the area is enclosed huge complex. Butterflies flying around everywhere but to small to see in the photos.

A few close ups.

This wasn't real...

They seemed to be attracted to certain flowers.

We then drove to the end of the coast road which was about five km from the hotel so short driving day.  Went through the town of Teluk Bahang  arriving at  the fishing village with long jetties out from the beach. I would say they were for fishing boats of course as well as a few boats to take people around to the further bays that you can't get to by road. A very peaceful quiet spot

We thought that we would like to walk out to see the boats, but had to ask first. It was OK but the blanks felt a bit dodgy.

I sent PT first and he didn't disappear so I followed.

Just a great day really enjoyed it out there.

Looking back at the village

One of the tourist boats just arrived back from the other beaches.

Looking along the bay.

Looking the other way

We then dropped into the Batik factory which makes garments out of all these beautiful colourful fabrics. Very expensive. Just had a quick look and out.

We were only out for the morning and got back for a swim or two. Cracker day. No clouds. Had an Indian meal tonight not sure why, eating curry in this weather doesn't exactly cool you down..... $7 all up for the two of us, finishing off with an ice cream to help cool the curry down.
